Well, fiddle me! Guess what arrived this morning; the demo copies of TFTP #6-9! A mere several days in transit from America to the UK.

The issues look really good. The sketchbook pages at the back came out slightly rough but they were pretty rough pencil pages anyway so it's not a surprise. That's something we can sort in future issues.

Issue #6 has some cool features in it such as Baseball Furries and Fish Drink, plus prose story The Man Who Does Not Exist and a couple of sketchbook pages from Chris J. Powers and Iain Laurie. Hoo-HAH! I'm always worried about text being difficult to read but once again the text in these are VERY easy on the eye. I'm also really happy I decided to darken the linework on Fish Drink as the printed inks pop off the page beautifully!

Just uploaded the preview pages and did the synopsis bits for the IndyPlanet release, so the issue will be coming sometime in the next 7 days or so.

Got an e-mail today from the printers. TFTP#6-8 are winging their way to me as I type!

These are the demo copies. I'll check them out when they arrive to see if all's well and then #6 will shortly be available TO THE WORLD!

Huzzah. Feels good to have issues coming out again. :)

For those wondering, the tech problems that lead us to being late with new issues:

Around last Christmas my computer, the computer with all the work on it, started getting funky. I deleted a bunch of temp files I thought I no longer needed but it turned out that... yeah, they *were* still needed. A-whoops.

In January the 'puter crashed and I had to reinstall Windows... every time I started the computer. Something was buggered and the installations wouldn't stay on when the pc was shut down.

That went on for months until the 'puter wouldn't let me reinstall/reformat anymore. This also meant we lost stuff on the hard disk. We got some of it back thanks to a recovery program and backed it up best we could but we still lost a lot and a lot of the saved files were damaged.

The computer's now kaput and I'm writing this on a borrowed laptop until I get my own, hopefully near the end of this month/early next month.

Thankfully most of the TFTP and Darkling #6 files were eventually revealed to be okay. TFTP #6-9 are at the printers now, awaiting printy goodness and The Darkling #6 is being lettered/finalised.

Hopefully the new computer (a laptop with better memory than any I've previously had) will last a while longer than the PC.

This Futuri-Plex is now in Beta mode.

The administrator and moderator of this add-on to the Futurius website is Daniel Lundie. Therefore, the site is highly likely to crash or go kaput at any given moment. Enjoy your time here with the understanding that the place will eventually implode and disappear from the 'net forever, and as such the Lundie will not be shouted at for his lack of tech skills (as has happened in previous versions of the 'Plex. D'oh!).

Due to technical difficulties (DAMN YOU MACHINES!!!!!!) The Darkling #6 - last issue in the mini-series - has been pushed WAAAY back. We're working on this sucker but it's going slowly due to computer problems.

Tales From The Plex has been temporarily cancelled too but will be back later in the year, continuing where we left off from issue #5.
