 - The Bats are the guardians of the Hidden Graveyard that houses The Darkling's secret Crypt-Crib. From afar they seem like three gormless winged critters who do nothing but hang from trees all night, chirping at each other... but if you get too close to them you'll find they're actually well-trained and vicious fiends of darkness, hell-bent on stopping any living thing from entering. Their individual names are unknown and they are each indistinguishable except for the demented third one, who seems to Moo rather than speak in Bat-Language. Nevertheless, they are good and true friends to D and enjoy madcap night-time adventures with the other mysterious creatures of the Hidden Graveyard... |
